* Strictly NO SMOKING in the rooms or any public area. Ashtrays are provided at the designated smoking areas.
Please note: Should this rule be ignored, the guest will be held liable for the cost of professional cleaning of bedding, curtains, and carpets
* NOT PET FRIENDLY, we do not allow visiting pets as it disturbs our guest house live in dog and consequently other guests, and our garden area is not enclosed.
* We reserve the right to change the room allocation should circumstances require it prior to guest arrival
* Rooms will NOT be serviced for Weekend guests & Public Holidays
* No duvets or blankets are allowed to be taken out of the rooms
* We do not have a license to sell alcohol, but you are welcome to bring your own drinks if you so wish, private alcohol is only allowed in the rooms / private decks and braai area, NOT at pool.
* Please use water sparingly
* Towels & linens will only be washed every 2nd day (for guests staying longer than a week) After use, towels should be hung up on railing provided, thank you.
* The WHITE TOWELS from the rooms may NOT be used at the pool (room use only), should you need a towel for the pool please ask your host.
* Strictly No nude swimming or immoral conduct permitted in the pool for it is a shared space.
* Please be considerate to fellow guests and establishment neighbors. NO Loud music, NO music from vehicles, NO music after 22.00, NO drunk or unpleasant behavior or Vulgar Language (if you disturb other guests, you will be asked to leave the premises immediately with no refund)
* As we have a septic tank, please note that NO Sanitary Pads or Other Foreign Objects are to be flushed down the toilet. Please use the bins provided
* No private washing or ironing facilities on premises. Should you require a laundry service, a telephone number or directions will be provided to you on request
* No running is allowed in the passage, please consider other guests staying at our establishment.
* Bicycles are not allowed on our lawn, for our garden is our pride.
* We have a policy of not taking or keeping any cash on the premises
* The kitchen in Tortoise Trail Lodge is for staff and private venue hire functions use only
* The braai area at Tortoise Trail Lodge is for all guests, keep in mind when using this facility
* For Bed & Breakfast guests, breakfast is served strictly between 07:00 am and 09:00 am.
Breakfast guests will also be provided with a breakfast voucher option to a coffee shop close by. Early birds will be provided with a breakfast box to go (fridge breakfast).
Guests are also not allowed in pajamas in the dining area.
* No cooking facilities in Rooms 3 to 8.
* Only the allocated number of persons booked, are allowed per room. Any overcrowding will lead to immediate eviction with no refund as well as guests sneaking in visitors after 6 pm.
* Guests are allowed day visitors by prior arrangement with the establishment manager. (Guest Day Visitor hours will be between 10 am – 6 pm.)
Please consider the staff servicing your room/s and leave it in a clean and tidy condition.
Please respect our establishment and our house rules, we would like all our guests to have a pleasant and relaxed stay.
FAILURE TO ABIDE BY THE ABOVE TERMS & CONDITIONS WILL LEAD TO BEING EVICTED FROM THE PREMISES AT MANAGEMENT’S DISCRETION WITH NO REFUND.
Please note that our establishment is under 24/7 camera surveillance to keep guests safe.

Terms of Payment
50% Deposit is required to secure your booking within 48 Hours of making the reservation. This can be done by EFT only. The balance of the payment is required 14 days before Date of Arrival. (Please be advised we do not have a credit card machine at our establishment.)
Additional Charges
A breakage fee will be charged on departure to any guest that damaged our property during their stay.
All guests staying at Tortoise Trail Lodge will be held responsible for any breakage or disappearing of establishment property.
